Relief: The aim of the first few sessions of massage therapy is to relieve pain, reduce muscle tension and to relax the nerves which are stressed. This session aims mainly on the symptoms of the problem.
Correction: When there is no pain, the therapist will work out on the problem that caused the pain. The therapist stimulates the lymphatic system by making the knotted and scarred muscle fibers free.
Strengthening: It is important to strengthen the badly damaged area. If there is weakness at the injured site, it means the problem is recurred. Here the tissues are strengthened near the injured site, so that it provides support when the injury is healed.
Maintenance: This is the final stage in healing process and the first step in preventing other injuries. In this stage, already existing problem is treated and the occurrence of new problem is also prevented.
