Health Spa Safety Guidelines

Health Spa
For a safe and enjoyable spa pool session please follow these instructions......

Be aware that:

* The temperature of the spa may be over 40cªC. (check and make sure that the temperature is comfortable for you).
* Bathing time should not exceed 14 minutes at a time but may be repeated during a session. The warmer the water the less time you will require in the spa pool.
* The spa pool is operated with rest periods - you must leave the spa pool during this period.
* Some costumes may fade after immersion in the spa pool. You should not submerge below the water level in the spa as there are entrapment hazards.
* You should not take breakable cups, glasses or razors into the spa pool.

Who should not use the spa pool?

* Anyone who has a serious illness, or heart condition, high/low blood pressure, or any other medical condition that may affect your reaction to heat - please consult with your doctor first.
* Anyone taking medications for any of the above conditions or of which you are unsure as to the advisability of using spas - consult your doctor first.
* Have a contagious disease, infectious skin condition, open sores or wounds.
* Have had a heavy meal within one and a half hours.
* Are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
* Are a diabetic with damaged feet or peripheral neuropathy that experiences reduced sensation in your feet.
* Anyone under 16 years of age.
* If you have recently exercised (always allow time for your body temperature to return to its normal level).
